White dress and flowers in my hair



Today we celebrate Shavuot. Shavuot commemorates the anniversary of the day God gave the Torah to the entire nation of Israel assembled at Mount Sinai.
The word Shavuot means weeks and the festival of Shavuot marks the completion of the seven-week counting period between Passover and Shavuot.
It's told that Mount Sinai suddenly blossomed with flowers in anticipation of the giving of the Torah on its summit. For 
these reasons, the girls traditionally wear white dresses and flower garters on this holiday.
I love this holiday!
